HRDC Somalia

Who We Are

ABOUT HRDC

The Humanitarian Relief and Development Council (HRDC) is a women-led, non-profit humanitarian and development organization dedicated to empowering women, girls, children, minorities, persons with disabilities, and marginalized communities across Somalia.

Since its establishment in 2015, HRDC has delivered high-quality humanitarian relief, social development programs, and advocacy initiatives across Somalia. Our work targets refugees, returnees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and vulnerable host communities, providing tailored, beneficiary-focused solutions in some of the most conflict-affected regions.

Through strategic partnerships with organizations such as the African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF), Feminist Humanitarian Network (FHN), and GlobalGiving, HRDC has implemented transformative projects that promote gender equality, women’s empowerment, child protection, and community resilience.
